40W 12V solar panel is made of high efficiency monocrystalline BOSCH solar cells which have excellent performance characteristics and high output even in low light conditions. The solar panel is fitted with 2x5m of special solar cable and waterproof MC4 connectors for easy connectivity. The kit includes 1m extension cable with matching connectors to use between the panel and controller.

The kit includes 10A solar charge controller designed to protect your 12V battery or battery bank whilst charging it, having automatic cut off to prevent over-charging and deep discharge. The controller uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology which increases charge acceptance and prolongs the life of your batteries. PWM technology can also recover some lost battery capacity.

The solar controller can work with sealed, gel and flooded batteries - battery type can be set by the front button.

The unit has many protection functions such as reverse current, overcharging, discharge, short circuit, reverse polarity, overheating etc.

The controller also has a pair of terminals for connecting your 12V loads such as lights, stereo etc (they can also be connected to your battery directly).

The kit comes complete with a set of 4 specially designed mounting brackets with bolts, nuts and washers.

In addition, the kit includes a set of 2m cables with crocodile clips for quick and easy connection to your battery.
